From the Nimbl Portal, under the STORE tab, click on STORE SETTINGS to open the drop down and click on OVERVIEW.
The forth tab is DOMAINS.
1. ADDING YOUR OWN DOMAIN
This tab will not be used if you purchase your domain directly through Nimbl.
CAUTION: Unexpected behaviour can occur if you use third-party proxies. Nimbl is not responsible for any loss of information.
First, you need to add your custom domain and then click on the ADD NEW URL REFERRAL button.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NEXT:
Now you need to set up your existing domain to point to Nimbl. If you've purchased your domain through a third party, then you need to edit the following DNS settings: Your A record should point to Nimbl's CLUSTER IP address reflected.
Editing these domain settings might have an effect on other things, such as email forwarding. You can contact your domain provider to find out how any changes might affect your DNS settings.
NOTE: You can only have one A record associated with your primary domain. If your domain is already associated with an A record when you edit your DNS settings to point your A record to Nimbl's IP address, then remove the old A record.
It might take up to 48 hours for your custom domain to point to your Nimbl store. If you have problems or need help setting your third-party domain, you can reach out to your provider.
What to tell your third-party provider
Your third-party domain provider is familiar with the terms related to domains. When you call your provider for support, you can tell them that:
You want your root domain (your A record) to point to Nimbl's CLUSTER IP address.
2. BINDINGS / SSL CERTIFICATES AND URL’s CHECKED
In the background, on our servers, we will create bindings, SSL certificates and confirm the URL is working. Don’t worry - we don't need anything else from you to complete these processes.
NOTE: This can only take place once your A record points to Nimbl's CLUSTER IP address.
Once all three processes have been completed and they say ‘YES’, your website will be live on your chosen domain name.
